Today's nails is a simple stamping but I'm still happy with it. Still not perfect, I notice that the free edge of the nail is the hardest place to get the pattern on for me, when I had shorter nails, like 3MM shorter, it was way easier to stamp tbh. Today's 31dc theme is "metallic nails" and I decided to use a duochrome/multichrome base'll take more about in a future post.  I'm not sure if a chrome polish finish counts as "metallic" but here goes, also I could perhaps claim that a gear or sprocket is made out of metal.

Here's the base polish and wow how much I liked it! I love when polishes looks even better on the nail than in the bottle. I will as I said above make a swatch post of this Rival de Loop polish after the 31dc.

This and below is just bonus pics of the manicure in a different light and therefor more purple to blue looking.

Day 6 in the 31dc2015 and it's violet nails. However I guess violet or purple doesn't matter. I got a fun stamping idea that felt good for purple (so yes, this is something as unusual as a NOTD). I used my stamping plate from Born Pretty Store which I got for review and has talked about HERE before. I feel very happy that stamping has started to get simpler, and you who has followed me for long know that I've struggled before. I think I've reach a huge improvement this year, and I'm aware that all nails aren't perfect but I think that each time gets better and better at least. :)

I started with a violet base and then stamped the full pattern on each of my nails except one accent. On my accent I picked up the pattern as usual but removed all pencils except one from the stamper and then stamped that in the middle of my nail. After everything was dry I used a Promarker pencil and filled in some color inside the pencils and also made the colored parts on my accent. Really happy how this turned out. :)

Finally the first day of the 31 day challenge! I've missed this challenge a lot and last September I didn't have time for it. To be able to make the challenge this September I've decided to use partial of posts from my unpublished archive to be able to fill every day. Because of changing apartments and stuff I atm got like 5 polishes left to play with which means I have to buy some more in the end of this challenge (ooh poor me, right? ;) ) so I hope you don't mind that. :)

But here goes Day 1 - Red which I've chosen to call Red skittelette nail art. This one took quite some work. I was at the time I did this one very unsure of stamping and decided to make the text out of decals, which I figured I could cut out and place. That turned out horrible, I used SV for my decals and they got too thick and hard so I built up some curage and stamped the text directly on the nail, and wow, not too bad for a beginner imho. XD I also placed some rhinestones on my accent nail and did a gradient. I really like this combo and wouldn't mind recreating it in this color of even another color. Hope you like it! :)

Today I'm showing a nail art that I'm really happy with, like enormously. I've been practicing stamping for a while and it helps to practice, I believe that I've learned a lot, so you guys who haven't tried or who are struggeling, keep trying! This might not be perfect but I'm getting there. :)

First of, I used Lakobotan's franken polish - Party Starfish which I showed HERE as a base and then stamped this floral pattern from the Born Pretty Store image plate BP-73. As a final embellishment I added a golden rhinestone bow which I've bought from ebay.

And in natural light where the shine shows:

Born Pretty Store image plate - BP-73

About the BP-73 with itemID: 20790:

The cost is $2.99 and it has well etched pattern which is easy to pick up with the stamper. (I have two stampers, both has silicone, and come in two different hardness and size).
This particular image plate has 4 small rose floral objects (matching the full size ones, giving opportunities for accent type nail art's) and four full nail patterns with a rose floral theme. Two of the full nail patterns are shorter than the other two (which annoys me a bit, I'd prefer if all four of them where of the longer size for my thumbs (which I have to double stamp when they get to my preferred length, which works but I'd prefer not to). But I guess for most people that wont be a problem, the shortest are 15 MM x 19 MM and the longest are 15 MM x 22 MM.

As usual feel free to use my 10% discount code NGL91 for items which aren't on discount already at the Born Pretty Store site.

The theme in the Nail Challenge Collaborative is Travel. And a very common way of travelling is by car these days. Even car vacation's are common, I remember from being a child that my family once went to north Europe by car, we went to Denmark, The Netherlands and a quick visit to Germany.

My 3rd post is therefore a car nail art, stamped with BornPrettyStore's BPL-022 image plate, which just happens to contain a nice car print. Somehow it felt like I had a bad stamping day and some of my cars are crashing, but some day I'll be a stamping pro ;) I guess practice makes perfect, and can't wait to try the other patterns too. I also did my first try stamping on top of textured polish, with the full print on all nails, except my accent where I just did one car and some black rhinestones. I used a green bright base for this and I'm also joining Green Wednesday. :D

Polishes and materials used:
Dance Legend - Saint-Tropez
MoYou's special black nail polish
Black opaque rhinestones - triangle shaped
Born Pretty Store Image Plate BPL-022 (itemID: 20787 http://www.bornprettystore.com/geek-pattern-nail-stamp-template-image-plate-born-pretty-65cm-p-20787.html)

The image plate is of a larger size and is 12.5 x 6.5cm and each pattern is 2,5 x 1,5 cm which makes them perfect for my nails (I can't use Konad's full-nail-images for example). The reason why I decided to try this image plate, called "geek pattern" is because it has a lot of fun full size pattern. I'm really stoked about the circuits, gears, cars, air planes, umbrellas, sunglasses, hangers, shoes, pencils and "fun faces" (even if that one isn't as long as the rest), I'm less into the soccer and speech bubble pattern. So basically I have so many fun nail art ideas with these to come!

At the moment BornPrettyStore has a huge 50% sale on stamping plates til' the end of July, but if you want something which isn't discontinued from their stash, feel free to use my 10% off code which is NGL91
