Finally the first day of the 31 day challenge! I've missed this challenge a lot and last September I didn't have time for it. To be able to make the challenge this September I've decided to use partial of posts from my unpublished archive to be able to fill every day. Because of changing apartments and stuff I atm got like 5 polishes left to play with which means I have to buy some more in the end of this challenge (ooh poor me, right? ;) ) so I hope you don't mind that. :)

But here goes Day 1 - Red which I've chosen to call Red skittelette nail art. This one took quite some work. I was at the time I did this one very unsure of stamping and decided to make the text out of decals, which I figured I could cut out and place. That turned out horrible, I used SV for my decals and they got too thick and hard so I built up some curage and stamped the text directly on the nail, and wow, not too bad for a beginner imho. XD I also placed some rhinestones on my accent nail and did a gradient. I really like this combo and wouldn't mind recreating it in this color of even another color. Hope you like it! :)

Happy Valentine's day! Today I have another Valentine nail art to show. It's not the one I'm wearing today (that one I can't show yet because its part of a competition) but it's one I had on earlier. I decided for glittery red hearts on a gray base. And as usually I went for a technique I find simple, which is needle dragging. I used an actual needle for this (usually I often use a dotting tool with a fine end) and I think it's an advantage using a needle when making tiny hearts like this. I did three-in-a-row on all fingers except my accent's where I made some random hearts and I also did a small stamping on one of my nails. What do you think?

Today I have another stamping nail art. You might recognize the base here, I've showed that one before, a green creme and then matte glitter in green, white and black layered on top. Then white snowflakes randomly placed. I see this nail art as some sort of spring nail art, green tendencies but still snow. In north of Sweden, where I come from, the green tendencies will take another 2-3 months I guess. But here in Germany I highly suspect that the spring will come sooner. Today was 15 degree Celsius plus, even though that is suppose to be unusual here. Anyhow, if you like more green manis', head over to Green Wednesday.

Since the end of the month is cutting closer I decided to show the last out of the four dot manicures, which has been the theme for this month's Nail Challenge Collaborative. This time I have some circle stamping pattern, some pink flowers, also added some pink dots after a while (shall we say that the circles are dots too btw?!). Not sure about the pink dots, will post this without the pink someday, I actually like that better. Adding stuff isn't always the best thing. As it's holiday I almost forgot that it's Sunday, because that means that this also is my contribution for Nail Art Sunday, where the theme is free.

Basically I've used a nude jelly as a base and then I've stamped the pattern in white (two times on each nails because my nails was longer than the pattern) and pink with MoYou's special nail polish and MoYou's image plates. The result feels quite delicate and simple but still nice. :)

Today the theme for the Winter Nail Art Challenge is "Christmas Carol/song/movie", a quite hard theme in my eyes, my mind was blank until I remembered that the oh so lovely TracesOfPolish (if you haven't checked her blog out already, you should!) gave me a music themed MoYou London stamping plate. ^_^ That made the whole thing so more simple, I used a glitter polish which gave me some Christmas vibes as a base and then stamped with MoYou.dk's special black polish on top. It is not stamping perfection, I need more practice but the glitter helps hiding the imperfections. Hope you like it :)

Already forth theme of WinterNAC and this time the theme is "Lucia/Christmas where you live". Lucia is a tradition which I've seen isn't common world around. I choose the clothing from Lucia (she has a white dress and a red bow/sash around her waist) and made it quite simple with a a bow stamping using MoYou N01 and their Special red polish on top of a white base. I've also freehanded some thin red lines. I'm really happy with the result and also proud that I managed to make the bows as straight as here, improvement! :)

The picture above gives some directions of the look of the participants of the Lucia tradition (minus the colored collar and shoes, generally the collars are white and the shoes are like any of choice, probably dark/black) Here is some info in english; link.
