Today's nails is a simple stamping but I'm still happy with it. Still not perfect, I notice that the free edge of the nail is the hardest place to get the pattern on for me, when I had shorter nails, like 3MM shorter, it was way easier to stamp tbh. Today's 31dc theme is "metallic nails" and I decided to use a duochrome/multichrome base'll take more about in a future post.  I'm not sure if a chrome polish finish counts as "metallic" but here goes, also I could perhaps claim that a gear or sprocket is made out of metal.

Here's the base polish and wow how much I liked it! I love when polishes looks even better on the nail than in the bottle. I will as I said above make a swatch post of this Rival de Loop polish after the 31dc.

This and below is just bonus pics of the manicure in a different light and therefor more purple to blue looking.

Hi, today I have some pics of a nail art that has been laying in the archive for quite some time. I showed you the swatch of Lavender Star in the beginning of this month, but these where done months ago. I really like the idea of texture nails + nail art so here is a try with freehand. Both the white and purple are texture polishes, even though I realize that I could have used a regular white too. A fail I think is that the hearts got very thick, and even though they dried they never looked as textured as the rest. Not my favorite nail art ever, but maybe you'll like it anyhow. :)

I'd also like thank all you lovely readers who look in here every day, and also you commenters. That means a lot to me! <3

De la lune et retour. To the moon and back. The theme for the Nail Challenge Collaborative for July is Travel. I just love travelling and visiting new places. I have such a huge "bucket list" of places I want to go to. The moon is not one of them, and Paris I've been to a couple of times. But I do like france and wouldn't mind going there more times too.

For the nail art I decided to make something nude/pastel like with black details, feminine but still not too sugar sweet. So, pink lines, freehanded little lace thingy's, freehand text and Eiffel tower.  I which I would have made the "retour" a bit smaller, since the "R" isn't visible from all angles. Hope you like it. :)

Here's my second manicure for the Nail Challenge Collaborative theme this month. We're recreating member designs and I really liked a Leopard manicure which Druid Nails did a while back and decided to give em' a try. I like her version better, maybe my leo spots are too small? Or maybe the "rounded shape" the spots creates on the blue, is too rounded? Also she did her thumb and pinkie with full leo, I didn't. Sadly the holographic silver glitter, didn't look holographic/prismatic in these pictures, so you'll have to imagine.. ;) And as you understand I hurried up fixing this one done for today, it's blue and suitable for Blue Monday! :)

Rival De Loop is an exciting budget brand I've found here in Germany and I've bought and tried a bunch of colors so more to come, but this is the first swatch. 406 is from Rival De Loops basic line of colors and is a black creme with a 8 ML bottle. To my disappointment it wasn't a one-coater, for some reason that has become my standard, it is years since the last time I encountered a black creme which didn't cover in one coat. It wasn't too bad though, I ended up with 2 coats and because it's more jelly like it's very shiny even without tc. The brush is wide, flat, and rounded and easy to work with, the formula was slighly thin and I was close flooding my cuticles several times. It's an okay black creme, but next time I'll buy another one, black creme's just should be one-coaters... Don't you agree?

Bought at Rossman (germany) for 1,2 euro.

I love making fashion inspired nail art and for my second post in the "inspired by fashion" theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative I decided to make a nail art inspired by Iron Fist products. I decided for a collection I think is called Slow Dance which has black and white houndstooth pattern, red floral pattern on black, skulls, and sometime gold elements.

source
I decided to make version which fitted for a manicure and came up with this below. Stamped houndstooth pattern in b&w then parts with red flowers (I did white dots and then filled them in with red to make them pop) and gold metal beads in the center of the flowers. As accents I painted a black base and then used these Born Pretty Store skull metal studs (which looks really similar to the skull on the third platform above). I was super happy with this result! I know this manicure isn't for everyone but that goes for the Iron Fist items as well. Hope you'll enjoy, because now it's photo spam. ^^

Polishes and materials used:
MoYou special white polish (reviews here)
MoYou special red polish (reviews here)
Rival De Loop -  406 (black creme)
Konad Stamping plate - M63
Metal Bead rhinestones in gold

Here are some more pictures of the skulls from Born Pretty Store. I applied them with super glue and they lasted on my nails for 3 days. They come in 5 pieces and is available in gold and silver. The size is 8x7MM and the width is roughly 1MM, the skulls are also C-shaped and fits therefore pretty good on my nails. I really like them and recommend them and I didn't have any problem with the size. I also applied top coat all over my nail and also the skull. (I've actually saved the two skulls I used and I'll reuse them later) However if your nails are very short the skull decoration might look over sized.

So, if you're interested of getting these or any other decorations I have a 10% discount code at Born Pretty Store for you to use. Just type in NGL91 at checkout.

Also don't forget this offer too: If you buy a nail art set, any of you choice, you can pick one polish OR one image plate of your choice if you use the code CEL246.
