Again Lelack has come up with a cunning theme for this Nail Art Sunday; "(Christmas) wish list". I read a quote at fb stating that; as you grow older, your Christmas list gets shorter, because the things you want, can't be bought. And I think it's some truth in that, the perception of what's important changes, it feels like love, health, dream job, friends, luck etc for both my self and family/friends are the most important. But sure, I have superficial interests too, however no one seems to be willing to give me polishes (my bf said that I have enough already when I mentioned it, gave him a list anyhow^^), so my wish list is limited to some technical stuff like a pedometer which would be boring to make nail art of so my choice fell on a perfume I've wished for. Dior Hypnotic Poison has a round bottle which has a gradient in red and black. My (free) interpretation is of the simpler kind, a plain gradient in metallic red and black creme. Just simple, elegant, shiny and luxurious(?)

Second theme for WinterNAC is snow/snowflakes. I wanted to make it a bit untraditional and edgy, and my choice fell on a black and red skittelette with my favorite studs and then accent nails with stamped snowflakes. The image plate is AT09 and I bought it at ebay for probably 2 years ago, but I haven't used it before. Really happy with this. :)

Polishes and materials used:
Nordic Cap - NP09 (red)
MoYou's special black nail polish
Jordana Pop Art - Black Mark
Image plate AT09

If you buy a nail art set, any of you choice, you can pick one polish OR one image plate of your choice if you use the code CEL246. Which polish or the number of the image plate you want, you write at the comment section at the checkout. You can use the code as many times you want, as long as you buy a nail art set. :D

A late post for Nail Art Sunday, but better late than never. Lelack decided that the theme should be “squares” and I was happy because it can be used in different checked patterns. And earlier this week Susanne at Fingerfärger showed a picture at fb with a black and red nail art by nuthin' but a nail thing, it had some checked/tartan pattern and also some black opaque rhinestones on a black base. So basically my nail art is much inspired by it, there is some changes though, my black rhinestones have some oil slick which make them shine in more colors (mine basically look metallic), also my lines ended up a bit thicker(must get a new black fine liner!) in combination that my nails are shorter than the inspo. Anyhow, I liked the result quite much, red and black is such a classical combo. What to you think? :)

I'm behind with the 31dnc and I got a lot to do. But here I have no 30, "inspired by a tutorial". I decided to try something new to me and my choice fell on "saran wrap nail art". I thought that a combo of red and black would look cool. I took red as base and then black on top and the technique was fun and simple so I'll definitely do it more times. I also decided to add a 3MM square metal stud from Born Pretty Store on each nail and I think the result feel a bit gothic. :D

Hi, today it's no 18 in the 31dnc which is "half moons, which in my opinion mostly is a very high smiley french, sometime with a colored base. I decided to do my "moon" nude and the rest in black and red. I'm happy with the result even though I think I'll try this sometime without the french, just regular. I painted this yesterday and when I removed it I saw that it had stained my nails.. Any how, I started with a red shimmery base and then a red and black glitter polish on top.

Did this in matte and shiny, which version do you prefer? I preferred the matte version ;)

Do you want to see my Christmas manicure, now is the middle of february? ;) Of course you do! ;) It's that kind of manicure which works all year around in my opinon. And if you're in to more red manicures, you should check out Nerd Colours Red Thuesday.

Basically this is one coat of Kleancolor - Red Hot layered over a black creme, then matte top coat on top. Red Hot have middle sized red shiny hexagons and small sized red shiny hexagons in a red transparent jelly base. If not being careful when applying Red Hot, the larger hexagons have a tendancy of clustering as you can see they did on my left hand but not my right hand (started painting my left.) And yea, drying time was normal. Basically I like this even though an additional coat of Red Hot wouldn't have been wrong. :)

hihi, with my matching red pearl ring. ^^

HM matte top coat

So, what do you think about my Christmas nails? ;) And Red Hot? Isn't this look similar to NYX -Dorythy Who (except this is not a jelly and perhaps more glitter sparse)?
