I've showed Boy Bleu several times before but not over pink before. The pictures are from early 2013 (lol emptying the archive again) but I've worn it layered over white, over brown and over red. My favorite combo is not over pink anyhow, brown and red are so far the favorites. Anyhow, this is my contribution to Blue Monday.

So I've talked about Boy Bleu before. It's black and bright blue hex glitter in 2 sizes and also tiny glitter in both colors, and some very occasional large semi matte white hexagons in a clear base. Those large white hexagons are so rare that they are unnecessary in my perspective.

What do you think about this combo? Do you have any proposals on more base colors for Boy Bleu?

Today I'm showing Dance Legend Termo Shine No.179, a polish who changes color depending on the temperature, ie. thermo polish ;) Here the two colors are a white/light pink nude and bright red filled with matte black glitter which of course is unaffected by the temperature. The glitter is hexagons in two sizes and also some short string/bar glitter. The color scheme is that it's white/light pink nude when it's hot and red when it's cold. The application was great and even though I haven't made any notes I remember it to be 2 coats. Basically I loooooove this polish! It is so beautiful!  So, what do you think? <3

Normally I try my best to show green manicures on Wednesday but I haven't got any green manis edited and ready and I've been sitting for 5 hours playing with some digital art in photoshop and I don't want to quit that. ^^

So here you have a neon nail art with matte black glitter. The black glitter is one coat of Kleancolor - Beyond Time & Space, a good compliment to L.A. Girl - Uninhibited which is much more glitter dense. And as I've mentioned before, that 2012 Neon Collection from China Glaze are just perfect for gradients, here I have one yellow and one pink, and the blend together so nice that the orange is created as a bonus. I.e two polishes creates three colors. :)

I've showed L.A. Girl - Uninhibited many times here at the blog but it hasn't had a dedicated post earlier. Uninhibited has matte black hexes in in two sizes, tiny and middle size, all in a clear base. The glitter is also very dense and below is 1 single coat. It is awesome for nail art, such as gradients and also layerings, as here, over a subtle needledragging in green and yellow. Hopefully Karin also approves this manicure to the Green Wednesday at Vacker&Underbar.

Pink Thursday and since I've prepped a large archive with lots of manicures I might as well show colors which fits for the theme days. Here I'm showing double up with pink. The base is Kleancolor - Neon Pink and then I've layered Pretty & Polished - Punk'd Up Betty.

Punk'd Up Betty has black opaque glitter in mini size and middle size black hexes. There's also pink middle size hexes and large silver hexes. Those silver hexes I think this could do with out to be honestly. I've showed this polish and it's blue brother Boy Bleu serveral time and both of them has the same formula. It's for layering and opacity can't be build with just the polish is self which I think is sad, I just love my floams and wish that this would work as the same. To sum it up I still like this polish, but maybe on another base than pink. ;)

Nail Art Sunday at Lelack and today's theme is "skittelette". When I first heard about the "new thing" (a couple of months ago) and learned what it was I was a bit surprised, because it was something old but just with a new fancy name, the old accent nail(s) was re-vamped. But with that said, I love manicures with accent nails and skittelettes has become a trend which means many people does it, which means that I have an easier access to nail art I like. I don't like all skittelettes out there though, a few are too incohesive. With that in mind I decided to color match my skittelette to make it super-cohesive. I think I'm quite happy with the result, it's black and white, and that always work even though I still wonder if it wouldn't have been better with black creme nails.

The rules of a skittelette apparently are to have two accent nails with some sort of decoration/design, one glitter or texture nail and two creme polished nails in any order even if the above seems to be the most common skittelette order.

What do you think about skittelettes? Are there any you don't like? Have you tried it? Did you like my black and white version? Looking forward to hear from you. ;)

Hi, this Thuesday I'll show you my favorite red polish which is from the indie brand Oopsie Daises and is called Ladybug. The name is perfect for the polish since it's jelly with the color "english red" filled with matte black hexagons in two sizes. The color becomes much more vibrant red on the nails than the bottle as you can see in the pictures. I used 3 coats but 2 would probably do for shorter nails, IRL the VNL wasn't that noticeable at all but I've tried layer this polish over a regular red and that worked too. I noticed that it was important to spread/place the glitter with the first coat, otherwise the glitter starts to cluster like on my middle finger on second and third coat. I also used 2 coats of SV to make it super smooth and even more glossy than before. Do I need to say I really loved this?! Now, that we established that this is beautiful I'm going to tell you the bad parts..after I'd removed the polish I had the most ugly stains ever; red dotted stains where the black glitter had been. My nails looked like if they had a decease and the staining took months to go away. It's still my favorite red but next time I'll use double coats of base coat..

There's plenty of theme days out there and today I've managed to join Red Thuesday at En mammas naglar. It a nail blog written in swedish and she'll link more red polished blogs today.

Day 23 in this challenge and I feel that even though I really like this challenge it take's a lot of time. Especially since I really like it, it's easy to procrastinate away more important things, which I actually have to do. My basic problem is that I say to my self that "I'm just going to read my blog/paint my nails/blog reading... and after that I'll get into my have-to-stuff". The problem is that I never get to the part where I do the have-to-stuff, so now I'm behind so therefore I've decided to do the opposite, which I should have done in the first place..doh. You'll probably wont notice any difference anyhow, I'll schedule my posts as before but I wont get into the "fun part" until I'm done with the important stuff.

Anyhow, the reason you got here; naaaails. Day 23 is inspired by a movie and my movie of choice is A Clockwork Orange which is also produced and directed by my favorite director; Stanley Kubrick. The nail art it self is quite simple but I really liked it and hope you'll like it too. Right below you can see the inspiration image I used for this nail art.
