Catrice - Call Me Princess, swatch

An unusual purchase to be me, it's pink! ;) Basically I thought that Call Me Princess from their Crushed Crystal collection was a texture polish, similar to something Isadora had 2014. However, as it turned out, there is no noticeable grit! Surprisingly I liked this and the color shifting has a huge part of it. When angeling the nail I think the pink goes from gold, to warm light pink to dark hot pink in the edges. Basically it contains color shifting glass-flecks/tiny glitter ranging from pink to gold, all in a pink jelly base.It covered surprisingly well and I used 3 coats even though 2 could have been enough (the 3rd didn't make that big of a difference), there is some VNL going on but adding more coats doesn't hide it in this case. And I must say it shows a bit more in the pictures than IRL. The polish formula is good and covers fast however the brush is more of a wide "brom" even though I prefer wide over tiny brushes.

I think this picture shows the color shifts the best, darker hot pink going towards warm golden pink.

This last picture is the only picture taken with cellphone, it's also in the sun because I wanted to show how much CMP is glittering. ^^

Ciaté - Heirloom, swatch

Bought this at HM for 50SEK (like 5 euro) and it's my first Ciaté. I was amazed how duochrome/multichromed it looked in the store and when I got it on my nails I was still amazed.

The finish reminds of color shifting glassflecks in a green/brown jelly base. The color shifting range is usually within something like burgundy red and hot pink to golden/orange/brown. But looking close one can see navy blue/purple glassfleck spots in the burgundy/hot pink and in some lights the edges of the golden/brown turns almost green.

The color shifting is visible in literally all lights, maybe not in direct sunlight though, then it's more pink, but you get my point, you don't have to search for it. The only down side here is that the polish is sheer, very sheer. I needed 5 coats.. I'll definitely try layering it over perhaps black in the future.

And just for fun. Had to google "heirloom" and the meaning of it, I didn't know what it meant but maybe you already did. Anyhow, basically it's something antique, perhaps a jewelry or other family treasure which has been passed on through generations. 

Overall, I really like this polish despite the sheerness. I have a weak spot for multichromes/duochromes, that's for sure. Have you tried this polish? What do you think about it? :)

Kleancolor - Sweet Pea, swatch

Sweet Pea is a pale green going towards yellow, kinda green jelly filled with silver glassflecks. Below is 4 coats but that looked the same as 3 coats, so still some VNL.. I'd recommend this for layering because it's very slow drying. It's not a super favorite of mine, glass-flecks isn't a favorite finish for me, especially if the glass-flecks are silver toned like here, it reminds me of foil except that it wont cover ;) However I like it more in the photos than IRL, the pictures remind me of the popsicle; Piggelin. What do you think about this polish? Something you would buy? If you happen to like this it seems to be more colors in the same collection. :)

31DC2013 Day 19; Abstract punk rock galaxy nails

Galaxies.. galaxies galaxies..I wasn't in the mood for the regular ones. When saying galaxy nails they all have the same concept and I will try that out too someday but this time I wanted to make my own interpretation. My first thought was that I wanted a polish that could work as a starry heaven on it's own, I picked Golden Nightmare which I've swatched but yet not shown nor reviewed, it has just stayed hidden in the archive. What I can say about it is that it has it ups and downs, the downside is that it get's gritty and the plus side is that it's a one coater and that the grittiness can be solved with two coats of top coat. With the top coat this is gorgeous, it's not really that dark blue like a real starry heaven, but it do have a bunch of golden glitter or glass-flecks which today will symbolize stars and galaxies. I also attached star-shaped golden metal stud rhinestones on all nails except my accent nail where I placed a bunch of metal beads, and suddenly this nail art turned very edgy and punk rock, however keep in mind it's a punk rock galaxy.. ;)

IRL the glitter showed much more than in the pictures and some time I had a hard time getting focus in the shots. I rarely use flash shots but this time I'll show you one (below) because that was the only way to really show how beautiful the polish is
