And so we have reached my #4 animal in the nail challenge collaborative this month, I'm slamming it in the very last day and the reason why, you'll see tomorrow. ;)

My forth animal nail art is with another cat motive, this time the lazy cat Garfield. Since my other three nail art's had gradients/glitter gradients I thought it was fun to do it here too (I quite like that look with double gradients) so here I used orange and two chades of green to create my regular gradient. And a cool glitter polish from Lakobotan in blue, white and green for the glitter gradient. I freehanded Garfield with nail polishes but I wouldn't say it's my best work ever, I would have needed some finer brushes to make it better I guess. I also did another accent nail with three 4MM black rhinestones and also added 2MM black rhinestones on my other nails. Quite happy with the result, even though my favorite is my 4MM rhinestone accent nail.. lol

Time for my second post for this month for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. The theme is animals as you might has seen in my first post. Just for fun I decided to follow the cartoon style I started by the first post and decided to make the Pusheen cat. If you don't know what the Pusheen cat is, it's an emoticon for fb and I decided to make Pusheen as an accent with a pink balloon. The other nails got a gradient in a bright teal and light gray and then an inverted glitter gradient in b&w on top + a pink pearl rhinestone at the bottom to bring all the colors together in a nice way. Quite happy with this, hope you like it too. :)

Have you seen the Japanese cartoon (child?) movie "My neighbor Totoro"? Well, I saw it and found out about it when I was 22 and honestly I'm not as fascinated in it as some people seem to be. However I think Totoro makes out as a nice nail art theme and also fits the theme for the Nail Challenge Collaborative which happens to be animals.

Animal nail art is a favorite of mine, and if we skip my numberous amount of zebra/leo patterned nail art, I've also done crabs, lemurs, pandas, rabbits, bears, cows, pigs, foxes, white muted swans, cats, chickens, frogs, reindeers, flamingos, parrots, merlions, hoopoe birds, black swans and yea Mickey mouse.

So back to the nail art, basically Totoro is a "made up animal", described as a huge rabbit looking animal, a forest creature, forest protector or forest spirit. I've also done the two "mini-totoro's" and if you remember the movie you also understand the symbolism with the blue glitter gradient, hint; rain ;) On my right hand I did some needle dragging.  I really liked my colors here and this was a nail art I had on for several days.

Here I have a simple Valentine's nail art in black and green. A non-girly version suitable for any time really. I also got the chance to try my green Golden Rose topper which has medium size circle glitter, tiny squares and hexagons and string glitter, all in matte green. And then I hand painted a heart in green as an accent. For more green manicures, go visit Karin and her Green Wednesday.

Another post in the Nail Challenge Collaborative, this time #dots 3. As it is a skittelette it's a lot of things going on, glitter gradients, needle dragging and some kind of square pattern and the "star" of the nail art; the dotticure snowflake. Not so happy with my ring finger, feels like I could have composed this better.. I really like the snow flake, a simple way to make a cool nail art. Hope you like it anyhow. :)

It's Wednesday and of course it is green. My base is a green I showed before, Wet n Wild - Glow stick and on top I've done a gradient with Lady Rose - 786 which is a russian polish I've got from Lakobotan. As usual Lakobotan knows my taste of polishes and Lady Rose - 786 is not an exception. 786 has matte hexagons in dark green and light pink and lots of white small glitter, it was awesome for glitter gradients and I will show it layered in the future. Maybe this mani is too summer or spring like for this season, but I like it so you'll see it anyhow. :)
