Finally the first day of the 31 day challenge! I've missed this challenge a lot and last September I didn't have time for it. To be able to make the challenge this September I've decided to use partial of posts from my unpublished archive to be able to fill every day. Because of changing apartments and stuff I atm got like 5 polishes left to play with which means I have to buy some more in the end of this challenge (ooh poor me, right? ;) ) so I hope you don't mind that. :)

But here goes Day 1 - Red which I've chosen to call Red skittelette nail art. This one took quite some work. I was at the time I did this one very unsure of stamping and decided to make the text out of decals, which I figured I could cut out and place. That turned out horrible, I used SV for my decals and they got too thick and hard so I built up some curage and stamped the text directly on the nail, and wow, not too bad for a beginner imho. XD I also placed some rhinestones on my accent nail and did a gradient. I really like this combo and wouldn't mind recreating it in this color of even another color. Hope you like it! :)

A late post with today's nails. I'm not sure what to call it but White disappearing leopard pattern nail art will have to do. I guess it could be called negative space nail art in some ways too. This was quite simple to do, first I did a gradient using a nude jelly and a jelly white and an opaque white. Then I freehanded the leo spots on top and embellished with clear white rhinestones. Sadly the photos are after 2-3 days of wear so they aren't as fresh as I usually want then to be but I liked them and wanted to show you. :)

Time for my 4th post for this months Nail Challenge Collaborative theme Travel. For some years ago I was to Dominican Republic, it was a nice place but what I aiming for is that there is a special stone which they call Larimar, it's blue with white veins.  I kinda remembered them as blue and went on with my plans of making this nail art, and in my memory the veins was black. So when I googled it was too late to change plans, and I really like this end result.

So, more about the nail art. I used a bright blue color, then I used the Saran Wrap technique multiple times (tutorial is in the section above). First black on top of the blue, then blue again to create a marble stone like look. I freehanded the black arrow shape and white lines and placed these Born Pretty Store's blue stone imitation rhinestones. This manicure was hard to get color accurate, since the blue was too bright for my camera, and brighter than below, but did my best to edit the color correctly. Hope you'll like them as much as I did. :)

So this nail art wheel contains 4 colors of stone imitation rhinestones made out of plastic. The colors are white, blue, red and green which all have black stone like veins/marble look. Each color also comes in 3 different types, round, tear drop and oval. All the decorations are pretty big so I'd recommend them for accent nails like I've done above. I attached mine with nail glue because of their size and they sit nicely on the nail, wear ability wise they lasted well and after 3 days (which include me moving out/cleaning out an apartment) only the right hand's decoration show some slight wear. They're available for $3.52 and you can use my 10% discount code on that price. And as usual BPS has free world wide shipping.

The theme for June is Super Heroes and Villains for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. I decided to make a Poison ivy nail art. A female villain found in Batman, which want to protect the nature etc. I decided to make a simplified version. And I ended up liking my non accents the best actually, and overall I'm not that happy with the manicure. I think it was because I was in such a hurry. Anyways, here it is. What do you think?

So, because of my computer "problems", the "tea issue", I'm behind on the Nail Challenge Collaborative.. This month it's Recreating member designs in honor of our 3rd Anniversary. I haven't been around for 3 years in the group but scrolling through the different folders with themes have been fun. Since I have a weak spot for  black and white I decided for a mani from the B&W folder for my #1. I decided on a look created by The Polish Playground which she calls Blacken Roses.

Mine is not a dead on exact copy, first of all I don't have a rose pattern to stamp, and I created a bow of my own with rhinestones. However, I think it's clear from what I got inspired by! I made a white base, then freehanded black roses and created a bow with rhinestones and silver metallic beads. I just LOVED wearing this! :D

Figured I might as well show the second version of my butterfly stamping manicure (which I showed you yesterday) too. I decided to make a gradient i black over the accents and then do a stamping in black, creating a disappearing pattern. And then a butterfly in each color on top. Then I liked this version better but today I liked my other version better. XD Which one did you like best?
