NCC presents: Summaries for June and July

Hi, as both June and July was a bit stressful for me I still haven't posted the summaries for the NCC. So basically I'll just slam both of them up here in one go. If you want to check out the entire posts, just click the label Nail Challenge Collaborative.

We start with June and Villains & Super Heroes. 

This wasn't my best nail art month..From left to right; Poison Ivy nail art and The hulk nail art, TMNT nail art and an abstract Power Puff nail art.
The only one I feel 100% happy with is the TMNT Turtles nail art actually. I think the rest had potential to be something nice. I just love the matte metallic red glitter gradient on the green, I love the bright purple and green together, and I like the idea of textures and shiny in one mani..

So, onto the July theme which was Travel!
Loooved this theme and I'm actually happy with all four and also I've spent more time to plan these and also in creating them + photographing the properly.

This time I have a hard time choosing my favorite, basically I like the palm trees, the blue stone and the car stamping nail art equally much! XD I like the Eiffel tower nail art too, but not quite as much as the result.

And a "bonus" pic. Just bought some fun stuff from Essence. Couldn't help my self and bought the new Nudes Essence make up palette. Can't wait to try it out! From the same collection I also bought the gray Essence - Rock My World. And from Essence's Fun Fair collection I've grabbed Mint-Blowing, Marshfellow and Ring Around The Rosy, which all three are scented and matte looking. Will show the green one tomorrow. ;)

NCC presents: Summary; Spring Flowers

And here is the May summary of the Nail Challenge Collaborative, with the theme Spring flowers.

I think the tulips and the stamping are my favorites, then the wood anemoes, lastly the abstract thingy.

NCC presents: Summary; recreating member designs

I forgot/time slipped away and the summary of April's Nail Challenge Collaborative went missing. The theme was Recreating member designs and I had a blast. My favorite is the square geometric b&w nail art, then the b&w rose nail art, the leo mani and lastly the gradient. Which one are your favorite?? :D

P2 - Crisp Color collection, summary and swatches

Hi! Long overdue, here is the full collection of P2's Crisp Color collection from spring 2015. I ended up buying all eight, just because I really wanted some matte textured polishes and a full collection is always fun. Each bottle is 2.45 euro at DM (Drogerie Markt, found in Germany).

So, a general summary then. There is 8 colors and all of them, except for the brown, has been seen before, as dupés or very similar in other brands like KIKO, BeYu, LOOK etc. So basicially there has been plenty of opportunities to grab them.

All except the brown has a pastel feel to it, white has been mixed into it combined with colors. The brown is more of a jelly based polish and I wouldn't even consider it to be pastel.

All except the brown needed two very simple coats. Some of them are almost onecoaters, but they kinda need that last second coat to cover perfectly. The brown being more of a jelly needed three coats.

Drying time is  normal for the textures, like 25-30 min (since you know, no tc is added because that would ruin the effect, I haven't tried drops if that makes the drying time faster though). I think that the brown needed 30-35 minutes and that probably because of that third coat messing the time up.

All of the polishes has shredded matte particles in different colors, which looks like hard plastic but I' not sure. However they do look cool with it. There are three combos of shredded particles color combinations as below in this collection:

Red and brownish violet shreds: Found in the purple (Violet Glace), yellow (Honey Fluff) and brown (Toffee Time).

Red and bright blue shreds: Found in the blue (Blueberry Dots), green (Cool Milkshake) and pink (Strawberry Frosting).

Red only shreds: Found in the two orange tones. (Cotton Candy) and (Peach Icing)

And deciding which ones I like the most is very hard but I've tried at least, and my choices are only based on my own colors of liking and I might change my mind another day. So as you see, the purple I liked very much, closely followed by the blue and the yellow (the yellow would have been no one or two if it would have been more brighter). The green is cool and minty but I'm also (for a change) drawn to the cute and bright pink as well (They could swap places in my list). After that we have the two pastel orange and the brown. And to be honest those three are much the same to me (I know a lot of people might disagree), but I'm having a hard time with pastel orange.. The more nude orange is maybe better but it also reminds me of rust protection spray.. And I actually like the brown, not because it's pretty, but because it's unusual and I'm thinking of some cool nail arts with it. ;) So it's that too, wearable on it's own only, or not wearable on it's own and nail art combination possibilities too which is part of my choices.

NCC presents: Summary; Inspired by fashion

Hi, sorry for a long absence.. But I had a good reason, spilled a cup of tea over my computer... so basically I had to let it dry and luckily it worked after.. But now I'm also behind on other things (not only blogging) so I'll probably be a bit slow updating and coming back "full-time" here.. lol ;)

I saw that I didn't post my summary from the theme "inspired by fashion" for the Nail Challenge Collaborative so here it is.

NCC presents: Summary; Animals

I'm slow but here is the summary of the theme from February in the Nail Challenge Collaborative which was animals. I've really enjoyed this theme and I'm very happy with my four contributions.

I had a hard time to choose but my favorite is probably the Snoopy nail art, even though I'm very happy with the others too. :)

NCC presents: wallpaper - summary

January's theme in the Nail Challenge Collaborative has been wallpaper, and as you might have seen I decided to make each of my four posts dedicated to a certain decade showing different eras of interior design and their wallpaper. I started with the early 21st century, then the 70s, the 50s and last the 30s.

I'm not sure as a whole if it's fitting with two gray/yellow/white nail art's for both 50s and 30s, but then again it's not only about the colors, it's also about the pattern. What do you think? Swatches of 2014 - Summary

Think this will be the last summary from 2014. So soon there things will go back to normal ;) But before that, let's look at the "regular" swatches I've done over 2014. Previously I've showed you summaries of both glitter swatches, my favorite nail art from 2014, winter nail art challenge summary and blogger statistics.

Thinking back I've really adored both Claudia and Kleancolor the most. :) Quite fun seeing the polishes in creme/crelly/"creme-shimmers" in just one post.

What do you think? Have I neglected some color category? ;)

Glitter swatches of 2014 - summary

I'm really into the summary mode and here's another summary post of the glitters I've showed during 2014. I've divided them in 3 categories here;

1. glitters covering on their own (or at least that's how I used them)
2. glitters with a clear polish base and must be layered; ie; effect polishes
3. glitters with a colored base, doesn't need to be layered.

As you can see of the above, only three of them covers of their own, and those are the ones I like the best.

From the effect glitter top coats I like the L.A. Girl - Uninhibited (black glitter) because it's so versatile for nail art etc. And I also like the the pink Claire's polish and the Lush Lacquer polish.

From these it was quite simple to choose, my favorites are the brown/blue Smitten and the two El Corazon.

Fun blog facts of 2014

Previously I've showed you what I thought was my best nail art's and I figured that I'd tell you some fun (?) facts which blogger statistics have showed. And that is what YOU readers probably have thought was my best things (both 2012-2014) considering the amount of page views;

Interesting to see is that for the second year in a row A clockwork orange nail art is on top with most page views. Still here from previous year is the White spider nail art from 2012, dandelion (2013, Hoopoe bird (2013) and the balloon funky french (2013). "Newcommers" on the list are (unexpected from my point of view) the "Side-flower"-tutorial (2014), Cow funky french(2014) and the Swirl needle dragging (2014).

7. Ukraine
8. The Netherlands
9. China
10. Canada

Basically I got more French page views and less from the Netherlands and Canada. Ukraine and China are new comparing to last year. Also India and Poland has disappeared from the top ten list.
