Hello fine folks, today I have the Urban Lacquer Spring 2013 Collection to share with you. It consists of two creme-jelly hybrid polishes and two glitter toppers. I'd love to hear what you think of these, so stop by the comments section on your way out and share your thoughts!

Cluckery is a soft yellow creme-jelly hybrid with small flakes and iridescent glitter. Yellow is my favorite color (right now anyway, it seems like I'm constantly changing my mind), and so I was really happy to see a yellow in the mix here. I found the formula to be on the thick side when applying but you can't tell on the nail. Three coats.

Out Like a Lamb is a glitter topper in a clear base. The mix is primarily blue, purple, and gold, but there are also a lot of smaller glitters and little shimmery flecks. The formula on this one was good -- the density you see here is just one coat of OLL over Cluckery.

Motherminter is the other creme-jelly hybrid in the collection. It's a soft, slightly muted mint with a lovely iridescent sparkle added in. This one is probably my favorite in the collection. Three coats.

Petallica is a pink, green, and silver glitter mix in a clear base. This is my favorite of the two glitters and looks lovely when paired with Motherminter. The formula was nice and the glitter was plentiful, needing just one coat for the coverage below.

So -- thoughts? Are you a more of a glitter princess or a solid color lover? Which ones would you rock out on your own nails?

Urban Lacquer polishes are sold on Etsy. You can also keep up with the brand on Facebook.

Good morning! Today I have a couple of swatches of polishes from a brand called Urban Lacquer. This is a brand that I recently learned about -- there are some interesting things going on in her shop! Let's get started.

First up is my favorite of these two, Ab Initio. This deep purple jelly base is accented by orange and teal glitters and silver squares. I was expecting this one to need a lot of coats but this is only two, if you can believe it! I was so impressed by the fact that the jelly base needed so few coats but the glitters still showed up perfectly. The formula was a little thick but not clumpy for me... think luxurious.

7 Wonders is a holographic silver glitter topper, shown here over Essie Butler Please. The name comes from the fact that there are seven types of silver glitter in here, including bars and shreds! I think this was one coat dabbled on, perhaps with a bit of spot filling here and there, and I had no trouble applying this polish or getting glitter pieces out of the bottle.

You can visit the Urban Lacquer shop on Etsy or stop by the Facebook page for more information. Urban Lacquer polishes are 3-free and they appear to range from $7-$10.
