Swedish National Day nail art

Today it's the Swedish National Day. Sweds aren't that nationalistic for different reasons and celebrations aren't that big comparing to other countries. However I have some suiting nails for the occasion, which I had on in Germany last summer in the end. Blue and yellow are fun together, I want to make more designs with that, not because of the swedish flag, but because the colors compliment each other well.

I made a yellow base, after that I stamped the shit out of my self, each nail is stamped like 4 times to get the "full mani pattern". Then I added a gold metal stud tear drop rhinestone on each. First I have camera photos, but in the end I have some phone photos, just because those showed the color better, the camera made the color too popping. Hope you'll like this. :)

Polishes used:
MoYou special blue polish
MoYou Image Plate N11 
Adena - 51, swatch
Gold metal stud tear drop rhinestone (bought from ebay)

N11, look at the tiny little floral pattern which I used to cover my whole nail with.

NCC presents: Snoopy and Woodstock nail art

Time for my Animals #3 for this month's theme for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. And this time I actually have two animals to show ;) both a dog which happens to be called Snoopy and a little yellow canary bird called Woodstock.. well, I guess you already guessed it, but it's Peanuts! :) I used a super pale pastel yellow and a mint blue pastel gradient base and also a yellow, blue and white glitter gradient on top for my other nails. Then free handed snoopy and Woodstock with nail polish, dotting tool and fine liner brush as usual. And yea, I'm happy with the result, hope you'll like it too :)

Blue flower funky french

I did a nail art over Pink Lemonade II which I showed you yesterday, I'm not 100% happy with the result, but I hope you'll like it anyhow. Maybe it's because it perhaps has some unintentional Easter feel to it? What do you think?

Swedish yellow and blue tiger nail art

One challenge is down, one more to go. I started with the Where in the world-challenge in January this year and my goal is to finish it before the new year. Since the 31 day challenge worked fine I'm sure I'll manage with this even though I'd say that it's harder to come up with ideas for this challenge.

Anyhow country no. 8 is my home country; Sweden and I decided to do the Swedish tiger. Of cause this is not an animal because there's no wild tigers in Sweden. It's actually a symbol used i Sweden during world war 2, mainly a reminder not to speak about military things during that time. The reason why this symbol (or the tiger to be correct) is funny is that it has a double interpretation in the Swedish language. "Tiger" could both be the animal and to keep silent, which was important during those times. I also just read on wikipedia that an English phrase with the same meaning was "loose lips sink ships".

That's the background story of that. Anyhow, my main idea was the the yellow and the blue would look cool with tiger -, or well, zebra stripes and here's my yellow and blue tiger nails;
