The second summer trio from Contrary Polish is called the Color Context collection. The concept behind it is really interesting! Each of the base polish colors is visually altered by the presence of the shimmer color. It's a difficult idea to explain, but very cool, and hopefully it will become clearer as you take a look at the polishes.

Greenhouse is a blue based polish with a gold shimmer. The combination of these two elements makes the overall polish appear greenish! Neat, right? This is two easy coats, shown first in direct light and second in indirect light.

Blood Orange is a red with gold shimmer. These two elements together give the polish a bit of an orange cast. This one was the most subtle in terms of "color context," it was slightly orangey but primarily just a gorgeous warm shimmery red. Two coats.

Indigo Rose is the best representation of the "color context" theme, in my opinion. This deep blue base has a reddish shimmer that makes the polish look indigo. Very pretty and a must-have for you dark polish lovers. Two coats.

What do you think about this collection? I think Greenhouse is my favorite but I just love the idea behind this whole set.

If you missed the first Contrary Polish summer trio, be sure to check it out! This collection just launched this afternoon so they are available for purchase now. You can pick up full size Contrary Polishes from Llarowe and I believe minis will eventually be available via the Contrary Polish blog. You can also keep up with the brand on Facebook and Twitter.
