Swedish National Day nail art

Today it's the Swedish National Day. Sweds aren't that nationalistic for different reasons and celebrations aren't that big comparing to other countries. However I have some suiting nails for the occasion, which I had on in Germany last summer in the end. Blue and yellow are fun together, I want to make more designs with that, not because of the swedish flag, but because the colors compliment each other well.

I made a yellow base, after that I stamped the shit out of my self, each nail is stamped like 4 times to get the "full mani pattern". Then I added a gold metal stud tear drop rhinestone on each. First I have camera photos, but in the end I have some phone photos, just because those showed the color better, the camera made the color too popping. Hope you'll like this. :)

N11, look at the tiny little floral pattern which I used to cover my whole nail with.

L.A. Girl - Uninhibited, swatch and layering

I've showed L.A. Girl - Uninhibited many times here at the blog but it hasn't had a dedicated post earlier. Uninhibited has matte black hexes in in two sizes, tiny and middle size, all in a clear base. The glitter is also very dense and below is 1 single coat. It is awesome for nail art, such as gradients and also layerings, as here, over a subtle needledragging in green and yellow. Hopefully Karin also approves this manicure to the Green Wednesday at Vacker&Underbar.

Adena - No.51, swatch

I really like a good creme yellow and especially when my nails are long. Adena is a budget brand I've bought in a local food store here for like 10-15 SEK (which is about 1-1,5 euro) The color in No.51 is like a a "cold" toned yellow creme covering in 3 coats. I really like it! :)

As I said I've bought it in a local food store so there's only a few colors. Which I had more because the quality and colors are awesome. :) Have you tried any Adena's?

Brazil Golden trumpet tree nail art

Today I'm showing country no. 24 in the Where In The World Challenge. The country in question is Brazil and I decided to make something not so predictable. I decided to get inspired by their national flower which actually is a tree. The flower is called "Golden Trumpet Tree", (see picture) and I did a very abstract version.

Etude House - #3 White Face, swatch and layering

Today I'm doing a triple. I'm showing a swatch review of Etude House - #3 White Face and I've layered the whole thing over a white/pink gradient and I'm also joining Pink Thursday which has a birthday theme (which I think this manicure fits great for).

Etude House - #3 White Face is from their xoxo Minnie Collection. White Face has a clear base and has glitter is three different colors, there's also some shimmer in it. There's matte pink tiny glitter, hex glitter i many different sizes and also short string glitter. There's matte white small glitter, circle glitter and of course white faced minnie/mickey mouse shaped glitter. There's also square shaped color changing glitter (from blue/purple to yellow/orange), the same as #4 Minnie Pink Ribbon got, but it's fewer in #3. The glitter in White Face was sparse so I had to use 4 coats to achieve this look and the actual white faces was hard to get up and I guess that I placed the few I got.

Anyhow, I choose to layer White Face over a gradient. I started with my favorite white creme (Kleancolor - White) and sponged a light pink gradient on the tip. I like how the pink glitter in the polish is darker than the pink in the gradient. I'm normally not into these type of feminine manicures but I liked this one. :)

String glitter gradient on a yellow base

Today the theme is yellow and I have string glitter gradient on a yellow base to show you. The string glitter is my first try with the Linda Johansen brand and the string glitter is called Rumba. Rumba have short string glitter in light gold and orange/copper and I thought it looked cool combined with the yellow. I can't decide if I like this or not. What do you think?
