Decided to layer this over the purple creme Claudia - 610. Look To The Western Sky is a gorgeous purple jelly with pink, yellow and orange hexagons and purple/pink(magenta?) colored tiny glitter. I used 3 coats to still achieve the jelly look because the glitter looks so much better when it's covered by the jelly in some places, like a jelly sandwich. However it is opaque on it's own too, I just thought it was handy when I already had purple on. Maybe the polish looks slightly darker than it originally is because 610 is influencing the finishing result. A really gorgeous polish which I can't understand why I've waited so long to use.

Bought years ago when Smitten Polish still had an etsy store.

I've been bad keeping up with themes at different blogs during december and all the challenges, but today I have something for Blue Monday. It's silly enough something I've saved since December 2013, and I've kept it in the archive because I thought that either the photos or the application wasn't good enough, can't remember which? CRAZY ME! Because when looking at them today I think they look great! :D

Basically I've done a subtle gradient with Smitten Polish Huckleberry Gumdrop and Nordic Cap, then decorated with these cool rhinestones from Born Pretty Store (don't forget to use my discount code NGL91 if you like them). These rhinestones aren't like the usual ones, they are bright and translucent and gives and unusual but cool look. My nail wheel has 4 colors (pink as here, blue, green and orange) and I have some more nail art's with them to show you soon :)

I did a nail art over Pink Lemonade II which I showed you yesterday, I'm not 100% happy with the result, but I hope you'll like it anyhow. Maybe it's because it perhaps has some unintentional Easter feel to it? What do you think?

Today I'm showing Smitten Polish - Pink Lemonade II, a crelly polish in pastel yellow and filled with these pink/magenta hexagons in 3 sizes. As it's a crelly it covers in 3 coats, but as you can see it's still shows some VNL, however in these milky types of polishes I really don't mind at all. As you can see from the name, this is a reformulated version and I don't have the previous one. I've also seen more yellow versions of Pink Lemonade II, I don't know which one's correct, but it doesn't matter because I like my version very much. Isn't it such a "gelic'-polish"? ^^

Bought at Smitten Polish etsy store way back, so it's not available there anymore. Now SP uses a bigcartel site. :)

A color combo I really like is brown and combined with a color, and Bluebird II from Smitten Polish is that, a brown crelly with blue/teal/green colored glitter in two hexagon sizes. Below is 3 coats.

Flourecent light.

Since I bought this long time ago, this is from the previous etsystore, but nowdays Smitten Polish has a big cartel site. :)

Recently, I was doing my usual blog-browsing and I came across this stunning Smitten Polish Summer 2014 collection swatch post from My Nail Polish Obsession. I don't buy too much polish these days, but every so often something will catch my eye and I'll blaze through the checkout process faster than you can say "Do you really need more nail polish?"

Jellyfish Rave is a purple base that is positively packed with holographic microglitters. It sits closer to the blue side of the purple spectrum and is a very flattering shade. I used three coats for the coverage here. The glitters aren't gritty and you may only need one coat of topcoat. I did two for good measure.

Seahorse Rodeo is the first polish I reached for when my order arrived. It's a stunning Caribbean aqua with a high density of holographic microglitters. Three coats shown, plus two coats of topcoat. I think I wore this one for three or four days.

The Oncoming Storm has a royal cobalt blue base with full coverage holographic microglitter mixed in. This one only needed two coats for opacity. I suspect this is because of the darker base. It's the moodiest of the three here but is still very pigmented and lovely.

Look, I just don't have anything bad to say about these. They apply smoothly and evenly, the glitters aren't gritty or topcoat hungry, the pigmentation is perfect and the glitters are very sparkly. Well done Smitten Polish, well done!

The Summer 2014 collection is being restocked this Saturday, 7/26 at 2pm Central time in the Smitten Polish shop. Keep up with Smitten Polish on Facebook for more updates and swatches.

I thought easter was next week but apparently it is now and I've done an appropriate but simple nail art. As you see it's cracked easter eggs and my eggs has gradients. I really like the pastel purple combined with the teal polish and the black glitter. I think that gradient and color combo could be useful for other, non-easter occasions too. Hope you like it. :)

Theme no 17 in the 31dnc is "glitter" and first I didn't know what to do. Then I decided for something blue, and below is my result. Perfect for Blue Monday too. My only problem was photographing this correct, the metal shimmer is a blue towards purple and the glitter is a blue towards teal.. and then we have the glitter, which is way more awesome IRL with holographic glitter and sparcle. Let's imagine this time, right?
