Kiwano is a neon green jelly with black shredded glitter in it. And when I say neon I mean VERY neon, it looks like it is glowing, yet it isn't. And my camera freaks out in the process. Anyhow since I knew it was sheer (as jellies are) I decided to layer it over Kleancolor - Bikini Green. I used 3 coats to get the jelly sandwich effect for the shredded glitter. I'm not only liking this, I just LOVE it and wish I had all the colors in this collection. First I have some photos taken in direct sun light and after a few in natural light.
For more green shades, visit Green Wednesday.

Below are photos taken in natural light. As you can see the camera has problem with the neon and in effort to capture the color my hands looks slightly darker.

Kiwano I got from a nail polish swap with Lakobotan. :)

Oh, and also. This was my Mid summer manicure from this year! ^^

Let's have a small pause from the textures and look at some glitter instead!

I was happy to find this polish called Mint Flavour Dots from P2's LE Just Dream Like; spring fav nail top coat. It's a clear base filled with tiny white dots, white matte shredded glitter and matte hexagons in light and bright green and blue. I used three dabbing coats here over the aqua colored KIKO - 341. This teal blue ensemble is also my contribution to Blue Monday where you can check out more blue manis.

I'll show KIKO - 341 alone in a future post and all and all I liked Mint Flavour Dots. I'm really fond of shredded glitter. xD

Closeup of the glitter ^^
Bought at DM for (I think) 2.25 euro.

Yesterday I showed you Gone Wishin' from NOPI and today I'm showing it matte by adding Claire's matte top coat. I actually like it matte much better and Claire's matte top coat is a favorite among matte tc's at the moment. Which version do you like best?

And also, this weekend will be unusually quiet, as I mentioned we have guests this weekend so there's little time for internet in general. I'll be back to normal at Wednesday. :)

This polish has tiny glitter in metallic blue and warm toned purple in a clear base. I first tried using it on it's own but that didn't work so well so I gave up, took a coat of a black creme and then used 3 coats to achieve this look. I wanted the glitter to be really dense but it could definitely work with just 1-2 coats too. I like the look even though it's not a favorite. In the pictures I got 1 coat of tc but I realize that I should have used 2, because the surface is still somewhat "gritty". What do you think about the glitter? And what do you think about the bottle of the NOPI's?

Bought in Walmart in Canada. Think it was 5-6 CAD.

Oh and we will have guests this weekend but I'll try schedule some posts. Hopefully I will have some time off in the evening for "me-time". :)

I've showed Boy Bleu several times before but not over pink before. The pictures are from early 2013 (lol emptying the archive again) but I've worn it layered over white, over brown and over red. My favorite combo is not over pink anyhow, brown and red are so far the favorites. Anyhow, this is my contribution to Blue Monday.

So I've talked about Boy Bleu before. It's black and bright blue hex glitter in 2 sizes and also tiny glitter in both colors, and some very occasional large semi matte white hexagons in a clear base. Those large white hexagons are so rare that they are unnecessary in my perspective.

What do you think about this combo? Do you have any proposals on more base colors for Boy Bleu?

Normally I try my best to show green manicures on Wednesday but I haven't got any green manis edited and ready and I've been sitting for 5 hours playing with some digital art in photoshop and I don't want to quit that. ^^

So here you have a neon nail art with matte black glitter. The black glitter is one coat of Kleancolor - Beyond Time & Space, a good compliment to L.A. Girl - Uninhibited which is much more glitter dense. And as I've mentioned before, that 2012 Neon Collection from China Glaze are just perfect for gradients, here I have one yellow and one pink, and the blend together so nice that the orange is created as a bonus. I.e two polishes creates three colors. :)

Decided to layer this over the purple creme Claudia - 610. Look To The Western Sky is a gorgeous purple jelly with pink, yellow and orange hexagons and purple/pink(magenta?) colored tiny glitter. I used 3 coats to still achieve the jelly look because the glitter looks so much better when it's covered by the jelly in some places, like a jelly sandwich. However it is opaque on it's own too, I just thought it was handy when I already had purple on. Maybe the polish looks slightly darker than it originally is because 610 is influencing the finishing result. A really gorgeous polish which I can't understand why I've waited so long to use.

Bought years ago when Smitten Polish still had an etsy store.

Here's a polish I've bought in Germany at Claire's. They have a nice range of polish and Splatter Green interested me. Splatter Green has a super light green jelly base (but shows as clear on the nail) which is filled with matte glitter in different shapes. I see green hexagons in 2 sizes, white hexagons in 4 sizes, black hexagons in 4 sizes and also black long and also very curled string glitter. The promblem here is clearly the string glitter being curled, it looks cool when it lays down flat to the nail though. However, it feels impossible to brush down if it has curled down the "wrong" making it stick up. Here I layered it with 3 coats because I wanted it to be really glitter dense (but 1-2 coats look good too) over a light green (Essence - 03, I Hol Di Mit'm Traktor Ab). Maybe a lighter green would have looked better, the base is a dull green and the green glitter is really bright, however the nuance is pretty similar. I'll definitely try it over other colors in the future. :) A gradient from white-green-black would be super cool for example. ;)
This is also this years last Green Wednesday, so don't miss that out ;)
