Quick post for the 4th Nail Challenge Collaborative  this month. (really hopes to manage to do a Blue Monday post too, but my boyfriend's parents are here and time is limited). I got inspired by a simple necklace with a heart beat symbol, is it called MRI? Let me know in the comments if that's correct and if you like the nail art. Other than freehanding the pattern's I did a needle dragging (inspired by an instagrammer called Sveta_Sanders) and also some black bow rhinestones as accents. :)

Here's the necklace. Also a purchase from ebay.

Here's my 3rd nail art inspired by jewelry and again I'm being inspired by my own jewelries. And so far it hasn't been so colorful. XD This time I've been inspired by a sequin silver tie necklace that I like. I used some metal stud rhinestones from Born Pretty Store which have an etched checked pattern which I think could symbolize the look of the tie. Then I made some accent tie nails with a square stud and a diamond shaped stud. My other nails got rectangular studs. Really happy with this one! :D

Little more info about the studs. There is six types of shapes of the metal studs and both come in silver and gold. (There are round with holes, rectangular, diamond, round, square and wing shaped.) The special about these ones are that they have this etched checked pattern. I used clear nail polish to attach them and added top coat on top and the studs lasted til I removed them 3 days later. :) This retails for $3.42 and you can use my 10% discount code NGL91  for other stuff which isn't already on sale.
***Some product(s) in this post have been provided for review, however it has not changed my opinion about it/them.***

Time for my second nail art for this month's Nail Challenge Collaborative theme; inspired by jewels. Today I've been inspired by one of my favorite necklaces, a super cheap big skull pendant necklace I got from eBay. (Hoping to get hold of a "golden" version of it too.)

I'm actually not that happy about the whole of this.. I did a double stamping on my accents + holo tc and then kinda negative space painted the skulls. But doesn't they look sloppy? Was thinking of redo everything, but bailed out.. I'm really happy with the black non accents with the studs though. Thoughts?

Here's the necklace.

Here you see the holo in the skulls a bit more.

Hi, as both June and July was a bit stressful for me I still haven't posted the summaries for the NCC. So basically I'll just slam both of them up here in one go. If you want to check out the entire posts, just click the label Nail Challenge Collaborative.

We start with June and Villains & Super Heroes.

This wasn't my best nail art month..From left to right; Poison Ivy nail art and The hulk nail art, TMNT nail art and an abstract Power Puff nail art.
The only one I feel 100% happy with is the TMNT Turtles nail art actually. I think the rest had potential to be something nice. I just love the matte metallic red glitter gradient on the green, I love the bright purple and green together, and I like the idea of textures and shiny in one mani..

So, onto the July theme which was Travel!
Loooved this theme and I'm actually happy with all four and also I've spent more time to plan these and also in creating them + photographing the properly.

This time I have a hard time choosing my favorite, basically I like the palm trees, the blue stone and the car stamping nail art equally much! XD I like the Eiffel tower nail art too, but not quite as much as the result.

And a "bonus" pic. Just bought some fun stuff from Essence. Couldn't help my self and bought the new Nudes Essence make up palette. Can't wait to try it out! From the same collection I also bought the gray Essence - Rock My World. And from Essence's Fun Fair collection I've grabbed Mint-Blowing, Marshfellow and Ring Around The Rosy, which all three are scented and matte looking. Will show the green one tomorrow. ;)

Let me know which mani's where your favorites from the summaries. Also have you tried the makeup palette or the Fun Fair polishes :D

August's theme is inspired by jewelery in the Nail Challenge Collaborative. A theme which I've been looking forward too, I really like jeweleries/bijouteries and I like having a nice manicure as well as "jewels" on even though I don't always show them in the photos, I usually take them on after.

My first jewel of choice to be inspired by is a lovely cabochon which my sweet friend Lakobotan made and then gave me with our latest nail swap. The cabochon she gave me is two-sided but I decided to focus on this almost psychedelic black and white water marble side.

Onto the nail art, I'm not the best on water marble, even if I sometime can pull it off. Combined with a lack of time while I did this, I decided to make a needle dragging nail art and I decided for the swirl. I've done a black and white swirl needle dragging nail art before too, but this time I divided the black and white into 4 pieces instead of 2 pieces. I'm really happy for the beautiful jewelery and I think my matching nail art goes well with it, not too literal but still quite matching. :)

Hi, time for what I think is the last unpublished nail art I have from the nail challenge collaborative theme Super hero's & villains which was the June theme. I decided to make TMNT or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but a simplified nail art version. I decided to use a bunch from my Kleancolor metallic's collection, and orange smiley for Michelangelo, red smiley for Raphael, blue smiley for   Leonardo and purple smiley for Donatello. I decided to make my thumbs smiley pink, not only because of the female turtle but because it was a good contrast to the other colors. As known the polishes are very pigmented and since I wore this for 4-5 days the smiley colors (especially the blue turned more greenish and the pink turned orange like), and the white shine turned discolored of each other.

Overall I'm super happy with this manicure, it feels simple to make, I liked it during the days I wore it (normally I like to change mani pretty quick) and it also feels very nostalgic.

Shiny and matte, maybe the matte comes out better in the photos because there's less contrast from shine/shadow. I liked both versions though.

Basically I didn't blog so much in June, but still did my nails, and also did the nail challenge collaborative theme for June; Super hero's and villains. But as I said, this went unpublished so I'm publishing them now instead. First up is an Incredible Hulk nail art. Not because I'm that into the Hulk thing, but because it fit the manicure I was wearing. This is more of an abstract version and sadly I had to photograph them with flash. It's not my all time favorite nail art, but I must say that purple and green are nice together. :)
