In this post I want to show a bit more pictures of my manicure from the mani swap with Lakobotan and also talk about the technique I used. This mani is also my post for Blue Monday.

Lakobotan did a regular water marble but I decided for the first time to make a dry water marble, some time called water marble decals. Which means that you do as usual and drip polish in water and then create a pattern. But instead of dipping your nails in directly (with some cleaning to do after) you just wait for it to dry. Then pick it up and cut it into a nail shape and place it onto you nail! It was harder than I thought but much less cleanup comparing to the normal water marbles. XD

Another nail art with the Born Pretty Store translucent "jelly candy" looking rhinestones. All on top of a gradient with Kleancolor - Metallic White. One of the metallics which rarely is talked about, just because it differs from the others being quite sheer. I've made a creme white gradient on the tip and than worked up some sort of opacity with Metallic white. I'd say that this is a winter nail art; icy nails. And some of you might remember that it's Sunday, however the swedish nail art sunday is from now in hibernation, for ever or for an unknown time.

I've been bad keeping up with themes at different blogs during december and all the challenges, but today I have something for Blue Monday. It's silly enough something I've saved since December 2013, and I've kept it in the archive because I thought that either the photos or the application wasn't good enough, can't remember which? CRAZY ME! Because when looking at them today I think they look great! :D

Basically I've done a subtle gradient with Smitten Polish Huckleberry Gumdrop and Nordic Cap, then decorated with these cool rhinestones from Born Pretty Store (don't forget to use my discount code NGL91 if you like them). These rhinestones aren't like the usual ones, they are bright and translucent and gives and unusual but cool look. My nail wheel has 4 colors (pink as here, blue, green and orange) and I have some more nail art's with them to show you soon :)

No. 27 in the 31dnc is "inspired by art" and yesterday I couldn't come up with anything and then lakobotan showed me a link with a nail art which fitted really good. The technique was water color nail art which I have used some what but in a different way before. I decided for a blue background and the water color effect only in white. I can imagine it would look really good adding more colors too but I just wanted to try this time. And this was actually a very fast and easy nail art so I'll definitely do it more times, I feel it has huge potential. I don't know what specific painting this could derive from but it looks really different and water color is often seen in art. ;)

Polishes used:
Kleancolor - Beach Blue (which btw is a blue to the green, so not 100% color accurate)
Nordic Cap - NP13

Oh my, do you recognize this gradient? It was a plan behind it when I did it ;) And that was to do this; the disappearing dots. ;) I've done it one time before in yellow and white but my gradient wasn't enough white. This one isn't as perfect as it could be either when looking up close but irl it looks like it should. I really like this look, it looks so soft.. Hope you like it! :)

Let's have a look at today's theme in the 31dnc which is "gradient". I love making gradients but decided to make this simple. I also seem to like the combination of blue and white in gradients. This also fits well with today's Blue Monday.

Time flies, doesn't it? It's already time for no. 4 in the Christmas Challenge by LovingCosmetic which I'm participating in. The theme for no. 4 happens to be Christmas Scene and I was first not sure what to do. Then I started looking at different post card illustrations and decided to make something really simple and in blue and white. It's as you can see more winter like than Christmas like, but I liked it this way. Hope you do too.:) This also happens to be blue enough so I'll make a late contribution to Blue Monday.
